If you’re booking fewer than 5–10 qualified calls a week, it’s almost always a targeting problem.
The best DM scripts in the world won’t save you if the wrong people are seeing them.
This resource fixes that — fast.
Use this checklist before launching any campaign. If even one of these is off, reply rates will tank.
Job title match
→ Target only decision-makers or daily users of your offer.
→ Examples:
• Founder, CEO (for high-ticket B2B SaaS or services)
• Head of Growth, Head of Sales (for lead gen / CRM tools)
• Ops Manager, Hiring Lead (for team tools / systems)
Problem awareness
→ Have they publicly acknowledged the problem your offer solves?
→ Look for signs in:
• LinkedIn post history
• Comment engagement
• Webinars attended
• Survey responses
Industry alignment
→ Your offer should solve industry-specific pain points.
→ Tailor campaigns to a single vertical per run (e.g. Agencies, eCom brands, SaaS startups).
Buying potential
→ Are they actively hiring? Recently funded? Scaling?
→ Use tools like Crunchbase, LinkedIn job boards, and Sales Nav filters.
LinkedIn activity
→ No point messaging ghost accounts.
→ Prioritise users who:
• Posted in the last 14 days
• Liked/commented on relevant industry content
• Have 500+ connections
Where to find warm leads without scraping or guessing:
Commenters on niche influencer posts
→ Scrape or handpick commenters engaging with creators your ICP follows.
→ These are active, engaged, and likely primed for outbound.
"Open to work" or recently hired profiles
→ New job = open mindset.
→ Use Sales Navigator’s “Changed job in last 90 days” filter.
Job board listings + growth roles
→ Companies hiring for sales, growth, or ops are investing.
→ Bonus: reach out to the hiring manager, not the founder.
Event/webinar attendee lists
→ Scrape public events or use lead capture tools.
→ Anyone who attends a webinar is warm.
Poll responders + commenters
→ Use industry polls to segment your audience by challenge or goal.
→ Responders = real, qualified signal.
